1.What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things, like that you're signed in. Browsers can also keep settings in "local storage", which works the same way. This page lists both.
2.Essential: always on
These are needed for Wivanta to work and be secure, so they can't be switched off. They don't track you across other websites.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
wivanta_access | Keeps you signed in while you use Wivanta. | 15 minutes, renewed while you're active |
wivanta_refresh | Lets you stay signed in between visits until you log out. | 30 days |
wivanta_google | Only during "Continue with Google": makes sure the sign-in that comes back is yours. | 10 minutes |
__cf_bm (Cloudflare) | Helps tell people from automated bots, to protect the site. | 30 minutes |
3.Your settings: always on
Kept only in your browser to remember your choices. They're never sent to anyone.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
wv:analytics-consent | Remembers your choice on the analytics notice. | Until you change it or clear your browser |
wv:install-dismissed | Remembers that you closed the "Install Wivanta" card. | Until you clear your browser |
wivanta.business.… | Remembers which of your businesses you were looking at. | Until you clear your browser |
wivanta:flow-budget | Carries your budget between set-up steps. | Until you close the tab |
wivanta:pending-payment | Lets the payment result page find your payment after Paystack. | Until you close the tab |
4.Usage analytics: only if you say yes
If you press Accept on the notice, PostHog (on servers in the European Union) helps us see how Wivanta is used so we can improve it. It never records your name, email, what you type or payment details. If you press No thanks, nothing is set.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
ph_…_posthog (PostHog) | Counts visits and the steps people complete, linked to an internal account number. Only set if you press Accept. | Up to 12 months |
5.Controlling cookies
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block the essential ones, you won't be able to sign in.
